One of the benefits of having a PageRank rank is the traffic that it is providing your site. Having a good PageRank means having an edge in the search engines result page. Having a good PR will contribute to the popularity of your blog thus an added edge too among advertisers of products that will require your services.
Now, it’s worrying me that my PageRank is still zero. I knew that in order to have a blog value and earn respect for my blog, I got to have a good PageRank. Well, I did have a PageRank 2 before, but it dropped to zero when I stopped making posts for a while. And when I came back, I’ve worked hard to gain my PR back, but still, it’s Zero. I really don’t know what’s wrong with me. I really need professional help.

I have a long reply with this question so long I decided to write a post about it.
what you need is to build link backs to your site and I think the big G doesn't like blogspot blogs making paid post anymore, one of my blogspot blogs which was PR3 now dropped to zero during the latest update.
my earthlingorgeous blog before was zero when it was in blogspot but when I transfered it to wordpress and got my own domain it immediately became PR2 in a week and PR3 in a month.
