How does Globe GoUNLI30 give you the REAL UNLI chat experience?

My daughters are addicted to these Internet-based apps that allow us to call or send messages for free. They kept sending me animated emoticons once they caught me online. What I love best is I can check on them from time to time whenever I want to. Check if they’re done with their homework, or had taken their vitamins, or if the little ones are fighting, or if “yaya” had fed them. If we needed something that’s not available in our place, I just send pictures to my husband through Facebook Messenger and he’ll be able to buy them and bring them home in the weekend since his work had him away on weekdays. But these apps are only available if we are connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G internet connection. Most wifi zones are password protected unless you buy something from them or you pay for it.

With GoUNLI30, subscribers get unlimited texts to all networks, unlimited calls to Globe/TM, and unlimited chat with the best messaging apps like Viber, Kakao Talk, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, WeChat, Line and the telco’s very own messaging app GMessage without the need for Wi-Fi or additional data charges. Available for only P30 valid for 1 day, GoUNLI30 gives you no excuse to stay out of the loop and connect with more than 1 billion users around the world regardless of mobile network or location.

Go all-out unlimited with GoUNLI30 and UNLICHAT25 now. Register by dialing *143# and then choosing GoSAKTO on your Globe mobile phone or texting GOUNLI30 or UNLICHAT25 to 8888.

Kettle Korn: Poppin’ Fun All The Time!

Ever since Walking Dead Series came to television, it was a total hit.  And since I'm a movie addict, I've been wondering if there will be a movie version of this series. It must be exciting to watch. I imagine myself sitting in front of the wide movie screen with a bag of my favorite popcorn in on one hand and my hubby's hand on the other. So if ever I were to star in my own movie, I would be the female version of Rick Grimes the lead protagonist of the series!  It would start when a chimp attacks someone and immediately infects her, and she in turn infects other people. Then in the next scene, I will awake from a coma in a hospital alone, I will look around in abandoned buildings, then I will come to find a small group of Zombies! I will be able to escape them of course, and then later I will meet some survivors including my lost family. I will become the leader of the group fighting to survive a world where zombie apocalypse occurred. There will be a lot of running for our lives and I would be gunning down a lot of zombies of course! Wouldn’t it be so much fun to watch? Especially with a bag of Kettle Korn in your hand - Kettle Korn makes watching movies poppin’ fun all time! Imagine munching Kettle Korn while screaming your heart out!

Sun Cellular, The Good Choice in Postpaid

I’ve known Sun Cellular for almost eight years now. It was recommended to me by a friend because she knew I had to call my family every once in a while and I had low budget and I scared to those immense mobile phone bills. She even let me borrowed her PhP 350 line for unlimited calls and texts to other Sun numbers. I then bought a Sun prepaid sims for me and for my family members and there’s this PhP100 prepaid load that allowed me also to do unlimited call and texts. But I had to go to a loading center every week and that’s really time-consuming on my part. Now, other than the contending cellular phone lines and my Sun Cellular prepaid line,  I’ve been thinking of having my own Sun Cellular postpaid plan for me and my kids because I know that it’s a better service provider and it’s way cheaper. Here are my choices (Source):

Plan 600
You may choose from the following Profiles:
Call & Text Unlimited
Get the following:
  • Unlimited Calls & Texts*
  • P250 Consumable** (except International/Domestic Operator-assisted calls)
  • 350 FREE SMS to other networks
Text Unlimited
Get the following:
  • Unlimited Texts*
  • P450 Consumable** (except International/Domestic Operator-assisted calls)
  • 350 FREE SMS to other networks
Fully Consumable
Get the following:
  • P600 Consumable** (except International/Domestic Operator-assisted calls)
  • 350 FREE SMS to ALL networks
* Local Sun-to-Sun Calls and/or Texts only.
** Consumable may be used for the following:
  • Sun Cellular calls to other networks – including NDD & IDD
  • Sun - to - Sun MMS
  • SMS2Email
Plan 999
You may choose from the following Profiles:

Text Unlimited
Get the following:
  • Unlimited Mobile Internet
  • Unlimited Texts to Sun
  • 4 Hours Calls to Sun

And you know what I plan I prefer? Sun Cellular Plan 999!  Why? Because it offers Unlimited Internet! My kids would love it. They’ll be able to get 3G signal wherever they go and that means Twitter and Facebook everywhere. I’ll get to save from the cost of texting to other service provider lines because I know they’ll just send Facebook messages to them. And the best of it, the plans go with the slimmest phones ever! Sun is really a good choice for me.

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. – Gilbert Keith Chesterton

Happiness is:
  1. My Dad being out of danger after that freak vehicular accident.
  2. Miss Eliza, our resident relations officer, & Miss Malou, our Community Development coordinator for helping me look for a Neuro-Surgeon.
  3. My friends Mylene, Obet, and Ramon for the encouragements.
  4. UERM Doctors, Dr.  Rico Chavez, the neuro-surgeon & Dr. Chiombon, the anesthesiologist, for giving the best professional services and not charging us even a single centavo.
  5. Dr. Noel Chua, for introducing me to UERM Doctors.
  6. My relatives for financial help.
  7. My officemates for covering up my workloads
  8. Well-wishers, for reminding me to stay positive
  9. My savings, though gone now, for being there when I need it most.
  10. My partner Estanley, and my kids, for keeping me sane.

Voice Lessons: How early is early

My daughters Mikaela and Helenia were gifted with beautiful voices. Unlike kids their age, they favor American Idol, Glee, and Victorious over any other kiddie’s shows.  Right from the time they learned how to talk, they were able to sing while they’re playing and I’m proud to say that our house is constantly surrounded by music. When they were babies they easily learn to carry out a tune. At age 3, Helenia was able to sing Pangako by Regine Velasquez, at age 4, she was able to sing Won’t Go Home Without You by Maroon 5, and by age 6, she was able to sing all the songs listed in the Myx Charts, and when she turned 7, we gave her formal voice lessons.

However, according to her voice coach the ideal time for voice training is at age 10. This is the time when the child has a good control of air supply so as not to strain the vocal chords. Helenia was denied at first but as soon as Helenia began to sing, it was obvious that she had a good voice that was way beyond her years. And so she was accepted.

During her first lessons, she was given ear-training to help her stay in tune. She was also given breathing exercises, even facial stretching exercises. She was also taught the proper way to take care of her voice. Aside from having fun and not losing interest, the main goal for young kids who sing a lot is to prevent them from straining their voice. Whether she’ll be a singing star or not, it doesn’t matter. What matters is I am thankful that I was given talented daughter and hearing her sing is priceless even if she do it in the bathroom.

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

Happines is:

  1. Helenia’s recognition day. Another medal to add to her collections (Oh well, I’m being conceited)
  2. Tiring but enjoyable quick 2-day vacation at La Union
  3. Lots of pasalubongs from Star.
  4. Free movie tickets from Nuffnang, got to see a movie again tomorrow
  5. Having my internet shop transferred to a nearer (and cheaper rent) place.
  6. Summer vacation for the kids.
  7. Audit is over. Thank God. I hope I can have time to update my blog.
  8. Newly bought dumbbells and the thought of going back to running again.
  9. My Siamese cat.
  10. My daughters are back to singing again and come April they’ll have their formal voice lessons.

Taking It To A New Level

Estanley wanted me to learn how to cook. He believed that I’m the one who doesn’t need much effort to make a dish tastes good. In fact, he believed that I’m a good cook. It’s just that I’m lazy doing the other duties like I hate going to the market, I hate washing a lot of dishes, pots, and pans, that I love eating out more. But Estanley just wouldn’t give up. In December 2011 he bought a Lagermania oven for me to learn how to bake. It’s been more than a year but I haven’t used it yet! Well, I still cook a lot of usual stuff like our favorite sinigang, kaldereta and karekare which I had perfected. But Estanley wanted more. He wanted me to cook fancy foods! The kinds that he saw on Master Chef! Haller kamusta naman ako? But thankfully, my daughters were there to inspire me to learn how to cook again. Last time I asked them out for dinner they refused and told me “mas masarap ka pa magluto dun”.

So, I therefore conclude that it’s really time for me to take it to the next level. I’ll learn how to cook again. And it’s a sure less expensive way to bond with my kids that eating out, would you think so? And for my cooking stint no. 1, here it is.

Carbonara

Ingredients:
250gms Fettuccini pasta, cooked
1 tetra pack (250ml) all purpose cream
1 small can mushrooms, sliced
Bacon, sliced
3 tablespoons Olive oil
1 Onion, sliced
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
1 cup Chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1.       Heat olive oil in a pan, sauté garlic and onions.
2.       Add bacon and cook until brown.
3.       Add mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes.
4.       Add chicken broth and all purpose cream; bring to boil under medium heat.
5.       Add salt and pepper to taste, stir constantly for 30 seconds until creamy.
6.       Blend through cooked pasta.

Carbonara is best served with garlic bread and iced tea. Enjoy!

Live Your Style with adidas NEO

Personality is how I express myself. It started when I came to know who I am and show it to the world.

I am a mom. In fact I am a cool mom. When something exceptional catches my eye, I buy it. Anything pink and shiny and has ruffles attracts me. I wear clothes that I like even if it’s out of fashion already. I just match it with my favorite shoes and my mom’s watch and I’m ready to go.  I guess I passed it on to my kids. They wear what they like and love their style and choice of colors and they wear them with delight. Our family got matching clothes, when we go out we wear the same colors. And it’s fun! We never really care what others may think as long as we’re happy with how we look. We can be whoever we want to be. It’s not important how people judge us with how we look. What matter is we have confidence in ourselves and what we’re doing doesn’t hurt anyone.

Embrace fun, spontaneity and the unexpected twists in fashion when the adidas NEO Label Spring 2013 collection hits stores in January to March.

Living a carefree journey that lets teens make their own style, NEO will capture attention with unique and innovative fashion and design twists on Spring merchandise. Products have multiple purposes or added value.

NEO will release a fresh product offering each month, spotlighting a fashion trend interpreted in a different way. In March patterns are the highlight, featuring vibrant waves of colour, with subtle patterns that appear to be one thing but on close inspection reveal another. Sporty, street and lifestyle footwear silhouettes with strong colour and graphic links create the look.

Nokia Lumia Now at Abenson.

I bought my very first LCD TV at Abenson in Robinson’s Place Imus. It’s a 21-inch TLC TV that cost me 10,000 pesos. The price was the cheapest considering the 1 year repairs warranty. One thing I noticed about Abenson was the staff. They’re so accommodation and always smiling. It wasn’t my first time at Abenson. I’ve been there for a couple of times before and though I didn’t buy anything in my first two visits I never got the intimidating stares from the staff. One more thing, you can buy the appliance you really want in installment basis for as low as PhP 500/month with zero interest using your credit card.

And you know what; I’ll be at Abenson again this weekend to see the one of the best smart phones ever made-The new Nokia Lumia 920! It comes with full versions of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer 10. It also has the advance Pureview camera technology and the New PureMotion HD Plus display with a 1280 x 768 resolution! Wow! I can capture pictures anytime I want without using flash! It is also set off by Image Stabilization (OIS) that prevents pictures from distorting when capturing moving objects So everyone, let’s go to the nearest Abenson and grab the Nokia Lumia 920 now!

FReSH Fragrance Bar: Perfume Store For Perfume Addicts

Having a “signature” scent is a very personal matter and depends on particular preferences.  The one that is appealing to you may be far off to another person. Considering the number of perfumes and fragrances nowadays, I’m still in the search of the best perfume that suits my personality and style. It should characterize me and would reveal the image that I want to express. Sometimes I go through all the testers that are available in the stores that I end up confused which one I would buy because I tried them all at once and my nose got messed up with the scents.

There was also a time when a friend of mine bought a new perfume and it smelled good on her. Thinking that it would do the same for me, I bought the perfume but too bad it just made me a copy cat.

Another factor that’s holding me back to buying my perfect scent is the cost. I’m not that enormously wealthy and I need to consider the cost of the perfume. I know that it’s magnificent and stunning but I really can’t afford to wear it day by day.

Good thing there’s FReSH Fragrance Bar. It is an authorized retailer that has a vast collection of the finest imported scents. And as the saying “Choosing your scent shouldn’t be rushed,” goes, finding the right scent takes time. Their fragrance consultants will help you find your perfect scent without pushing you to buy.

So for Perfume Addicts out here try to visit FReSH, the “Perfume Store for Perfume Addicts”. It currently has 5 retail stores in Eastwood Mall, Alabang Town Center, Lucky Chinatown Mall, Marquee Mall Pampanga, and Abreeza Mall Davao. You can also visit their Facebook page @ www.facebook.com/freshfragrancebar. See you there!
