A Chandelier

MellowYellowBadge

The chandelier originated from the French word "chandelle" which means something attached to the ceiling and holds a lot of candles. Unlike in the early years that they were basically found in churches, chandeliers are now found hanging to provide light in the dining areas of many homes.  This is the yellow chandelier of Amansinaya Resorts, hanging in the dome of their dining area and surrounded by small yellow windows. The staff there said that the candles were never lit since the chandelier was hung so high. But no worries, they were safely and securely installed. Happy Mellow Yellow Monday!

I learned something today...I did not know the origin or the meaning of the word, chandelier. I love blogging....like your post, I tend to become quite more educated.
