Being A Nuffnang Blogger is the Hottest Thing Since I am a Nuffnanger

I’m not the type of blogger who’s religiously and patiently makes up to date posts. I just made blogging one of my many ways of de-stressing, basically about my life and the people I deal with. I even came to the point that I thought that my blog was too sentimental. One day, a friend told me that through blogging I can also make some money by advertising.  I then opted to join Nuffnang since it is Asia-Pacific’s first and leading blog advertising community. Aside from blog advertising, Nuffnang has also given me a chance to attend events like workshops, parties, medical missions, and movie screenings. And you know what I love most, they’re all free and  I got to meet a lot of people. Do you know that Nuffnang has served ads to thousands of bloggers? Really, Nuffnang family has thrived to become one of the most important spots for bloggers. And I am proud to be a Nuffnanger. We’re hot.

Another thing that is just as hot as Nuffnang is Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut now offers Hot on the Dot Pizza deliveries: 30 minutes AND hot (as indicated by the thermally activated sticker you place on the pizza box upon receiving your pizza) or your pizza is FREE!

A Taste of Zong

After our coordination meeting last Thursday, we agreed to treat ourselves to a better lunch. My lady boss insisted to go somewhere exceptional since its payday the next day. Since we’re about to meet another boss at The Fort, we opted to stop over there and look for the best restaurants. Then we ended up finding one of the finest Chinese restaurants - Zong.

Unlike other Chinese Restaurants, Zong seems to be more. At first I mistook it as a Japanese restaurant because of the Zen-like interiors. When the attendant handed me the menu, I searched for the typical foods that are normally served by Chinese restaurant and I was surprised that they don’t serve beef mami or siomai. Since I know nothing about Chinese food and I don’t like Chinese food much, I let my boss do the ordering.

And we had the Yang Chow rice, a lot better version that any Yang Chows out there. The shrimp bits, egg strips and toasted garlic toppings were remarkable.

 Yang Chow

Hotpot of Eggplant - Slow simmered eggplant and minced pork topped off with fresh scallions. I never tasted eggplant this good. It actually tasted like pork!

 Hotpot of Eggplant

Malaysian-Style String Beans -Sautéed string beans and minced meat, a Zong classic they say. The texture of the string beans was just right. And it has the spicy, tangy flavor that I like.

 Malaysian-Style String Beans

Roasted Suckling Pig-A Zong signature, open flame roasted, prepared fresh daily. The meat is so tender and so crispy that I ate almost half of the serving!

 Roasted Suckling Pig

Zong’s dishes were almost salt-free and totally MSG free. Compared to other restaurants, Zong is a little cheaper but what I don’t like is that the servings are so little that it only occupied one-third of the plate!

On the whole, though I won’t be spending my money again on Zong, I’ll give it 5 stars since the taste of their food is really good, the prices are rational, and the ambiance is relaxed.

LP 72: Hapunan

fried chicken sarap!

mylene magtira ka naman para sa pusa

ubos na? bitin..

Masayang hapunan mga Ka-LP!

Pancit Bihon ala Stan

Pancit Bihon is a popular food among us Filipinos. Introduced by Chinese, it is usually served with calamansi and the basic ingredients are cabbage and some mixed vegetables, slices of chicken, soy sauce and patis and ground pepper for seasoning.

Last July 23 was my 36th birthday and Stanley generously offered to cook the Pancit Bihon himself. He knew how to cook and he cooks better than I do. Its just that during weekends, he's too tired to cook that all he wanted to do is sleep or watch his favorite tv shows. But because July 23 is my special day (ehem ehem), no matter how tired he was, he still insisted that he will cook my pancit. I'm elated and overwhelmed but I still managed to take pictures while he's cooking. He said "walang makikialam diskarte ko 'to". Here' how he did it.

In a large pan or wok, he sauted the crushed garlic and sliced onions

he added the cooked and shredded chicken breast

then the chicken broth and the mixed vegetables until cooked

soy sauce, patis and pepper to taste

then the pancit bihon, cooked for 5 minutes until the noodles are soft (take note to soak first the pancit bihon for 10 minutes prior to cooking to soften).

Tada! Pancit bihon ala Stan! It's super sarap that my officemates took some when they went home and they can't believe that it was Stan who cooked it. Another new-found talent for him. At least he still has an option aside from being "tindero ng sabon". Am I being so lucky?

LP 71: Merienda

how we de-stress

Feeling ko ako lng ang piniktyuran hehehe

Ang tagal nmn ng food...

makiki food trip lang po

After BIR sent us a letter requiring us to submit our financial reports and that they will conduct an audit of our tax payments, inunahan na namin si Ms. Auditor ng BIR. We invited her for a free overnight stay at the "famous" Club Punta Fuego, all expense paid (pampadulas ba hehehe). And who the hell on earth can turn down such invitation aba naman tatanggi pa ba sila.

Eto ngaun ang siste, since it was their first time here, they will be needing a guide to tour them around the 88hectare peninsula. Buti na lang KC agreed to accompany me.

Anyway like what we've said libre naman sila pati food, eh di sige order lang, sky is the limit.

See this:
