A Chandelier

The chandelier originated from the French word "chandelle" which means something attached to the ceiling and holds a lot of candles. Unlike in the early years that they were basically found in churches, chandeliers are now found hanging to provide light in the dining areas of many homes.  This is the yellow chandelier of Amansinaya Resorts, hanging in the dome of their dining area and surrounded by small yellow windows. The staff there said that the candles were never lit since the chandelier was hung so high. But no worries, they were safely and securely installed. Happy Mellow Yellow Monday!

Mommy Moments: Black and White

This is Helenia, my one and only dalmatian. I ran out of budget to buy her a costume for the Trick or Ttreat party of Punta Fuego. I just made spots out of black colored papers and we pasted them on her white pajamas. It didn't turn out good but it wasn't bad at all because my one and only dalmatian enjoyed making her own costume. 

Mommy Moments: Birthday Photo

This is my second daughter Kathleen's 4th Birthday. Shot using an old cellphone camera, this picture is so precious to me.  After Kathleen's 4th birthday, I never had a chance to be with her on her succeeding birthdays. I've been separated from her father when she was two years old. I got my eldest daughter and Kathleen was left with her father.  But leaving Kathleen behind doesn't mean I love her any less. God knows I did all the efforts. On April 24, Kathleen will be celebrating her birthday again. This time I'll make it sure that I'm there. 

Watery Wednesday: Morning Duty

My dad is already 63 years old but still works as a school guard at a nearby high school during nighttime shifts. And during his offs, he’s making it sure that he still does some house works. He sweeps that yard, takes care of his pets, cleans his house, washes his clothes, and waters his plants. I told him that he should let our household help do those things but he insisted that doing house works were his way of relieving stress. I  woke up one early morning and found him watering his beloved plants. Too bad my camera didn’t get a shot of him, my dad’s camera shy.

Watery Wednesday: Chopper Ride

We were tasked to take an aerial shot of the whole Punta Fuego that was needed for the cover of our annual report. The chopper ride was too scary for first-timers like us. Were smiling, yet our insides were trembling. The pictures didn’t turn out good that there was a need for another session, this time with the professionals.

Mellow Yellow Monday # 7

This is my best friend Thess carrying my only son Mochi. Picture was taken last year's mothers day when we agreed to have a get-together by the beach. We both brought along our kids and we had so much fun. A week after our get-together, she went to Dubai for a 2-year work as food attendant. Then another week after, she suffered severe asthma that took her life. I knew she's in good hands now. But I missed her.

Looking At The Sky On Friday

I dropped by at my aunt's house to bring some art materials for my daughter Mikah. The night before, Mikah texted me saying she needs a drawing pad and some poster paints. I went to the nearest school supplies store very early in the morning. When I arrived at my aunt's house where my daughter is staying, this is what I saw. Good I got my camera with me.

Mellow Yellow Monday # 1

Our Best Jump Shot

We love to take jump shots as we love jumping. We knew it’s kinda baduy for us being professionals to take jump shots and its not cute anymore but who cares we’ve doing it for a long time now and it only shows that we are still physically fit to do it. This is our favorite shot taken somewhere in February after office hours. We would be taking pictures of the sunset but the sun is still up and we agreed that while we’re waiting, we’d take some jumping pictures of ourselves . Take note that the slippers gave an added effect. That's me third from the left :) Lots of practice really makes perfect. See how high we could jump!

Before we got the perfect shot, it took us around 30 jumps that left us all tired, tired from jumping and tired from laughing. This was a memorable shot for us because we really had a blast. Our Village Manager Engr. Mon and our driver Mike offered themselves to be the photographers. Here are some of the pictures taken:

By the way, there's an ongoing contest held at Make or Break where you have to post an entry with the title Jump for Pehpot and you need to include a solo picture of a jump shot. I'll be joining too but I need to decide first which picture to include.

LP 48: Bag

Karaniwan na siguro sa mga kababaihan na maging mahilig sa mga magagarang kagamitan. Ako marahil ay isa sa kanila. Ako ay mahilig mangolekta ng mga bag higit na yaong alam kong talagang pagtitinginan ng tao pag dala-dala ko. Narito ang isa sa mga paborito ko. Bihira ko lang itong gamitin sa kadahilanang nag aalala ako baka maluma agad. Tuwing dala-dala ko ito, lahat nga nakakakita ay nagtatanong kung saan ko ito binili at kung magkano. Natatawa ako sa reaksyon nila sa tuwing sinasabi ko na sa ukay-ukay ko lang ito binili sa halagang dalawang daang piso. Napamahal ba ako?

I Heart Faces Week 3: Joy

I'm sorry for the poor resolution. I took this using my low-tech camera phone. Taken on July 28, 2006, my daughter Tala's 3rd birthday. She really had a great time and she remembers all the memories that happened back then and kept on telling me about it every once in a while. This is also the first time that she blew a cake all by herself. My entry to this week's I Heart Faces. Same thing that Tala has brought into my life. Joy.

LP 42: Kahel

Kuha ang larawang ito noong taon 2007. Hindi ko malilimutan ang araw na yun. Ang paalam namin ay mag teambuilding kami. Pero hindi naman yun totoo. Nagfishing kami at nagbonding kasama ang mga katrabaho. Paguwi, naaksidente ang isa naming sasakyan. Buti na lang wala ni isa man ang nasaktan. At buti na lang din nagbangka ang ibang empleyado pauwi. Nakuhanan tuloy ang napakagandang paglubog ng araw sa Punta Fuego. Nagkulay kahel ang papalubog na araw ang sinag nito ay sumasalamin sa malawak na karagatan. Totoo ang sinabi ni Dinah na bakit ako lalayo pa ang ang lugar ko ay maganda na. Napaisip tuloy ako..

LP 41: Asul (Blue)

Ang Bayan ng Nasugbu, Batangas ay biniyayaan ng napakagandang kapaligiran. Karaniwan itong dinarayo ng mga turista na nagnanais makasagap ng sariwang hangin at masilayan ang mga magagandang tanawin. Idagdag pa ang magigiliw at mababait na mamamayan. Ang larawang ito ay kuha ko sa Baranggay Calayo, Nasugbu, Batangas. Tunay naman makapigil hininga ang tanawing ito. Ang burol ng San Vincente ay napapaligiran ng asul na karagatan at nakatunghay sa asul na kalangitan. Bilang isang responsableng mamamayan ng Nasugbu, ako ay nakikiisa sa pag pepreserba ng kagandahan ng aking kapaligiran.

LP 40: Pula (Red)

Inihahandog ng Punta Fuego Village Foundation, Inc. at ng Balaytigue Elementary School ang ALS (Alternative Learning School) na naglalayong magbigay ng libreng pagaaral ng mga kursong bokasyonal sa mga kabataang nagnanais matuto ngunit kapos sa kabuhayan.

Dalawa sa mga kursong ibinibigay ng ALS ay "Hotel & Restaurant Management" at "Building Wiring Electrician Course" na karaniwang natatapos sa loob ng dalawa hanggang tatlong buwan. Ang proyektong ito ay inilunsad sa tulong nga Pamahalaang Lokal ng Nasugbu sa pamumuno ni Mayor Antonio Barcelon, at sa tulong nga kagalang galang na dating senador Ralph Recto.

Mapapansin sa larawan na pula ang napiling uniporme ng mga mag-aaral dahil inilalarawan ng kulay pula ang pagiging masigasig, aktibo, buhay na buhay at puno ng pag-asa..

Litratong Pinoy: Eksayted!!!

Ang kaibigan ko na si Janice kasama ang mga anak ko habang sakay ng MV Diana papuntang Boracay. Ano ba't kahit ito ang una nilang pagsakay sa barko, sa halip na sila ay mangamba or matakot, sobra pa silang exited!


Sa wakas nakarating din ng Boracay! Ang ganda ganda pala ng Boracay sa bukang-liwayway! Ang puti at ang pino ng buhangin! At ang dagat, walang kaalon alon! Weeee ang sarap!!


Ang sarap magswimming! Child-Friendly talaga ang dagat.

Si Janice walang pagsidlan ng kagalakan! Parang bata na nagtampisaw sa dagat. Unang pagkakataon din kasi nya na makarating ng Bora.
