Wednesday Happy Thoughts

I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. – Gilbert Keith Chesterton

Happiness is:
  1. My Dad being out of danger after that freak vehicular accident.
  2. Miss Eliza, our resident relations officer, & Miss Malou, our Community Development coordinator for helping me look for a Neuro-Surgeon.
  3. My friends Mylene, Obet, and Ramon for the encouragements.
  4. UERM Doctors, Dr.  Rico Chavez, the neuro-surgeon & Dr. Chiombon, the anesthesiologist, for giving the best professional services and not charging us even a single centavo.
  5. Dr. Noel Chua, for introducing me to UERM Doctors.
  6. My relatives for financial help.
  7. My officemates for covering up my workloads
  8. Well-wishers, for reminding me to stay positive
  9. My savings, though gone now, for being there when I need it most.
  10. My partner Estanley, and my kids, for keeping me sane.

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. ~ Frederick Keonig

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

Giving thanks means letting the world know you don’t entertain negativity in your life and you are more positive of showing your gratitude of what life offers to you. If you think of negative thoughts, you will just continue bringing negative thoughts to your life. But if you start finding ways on how to be thankful, you will see a world of possibilities.
.
When I started this practice of finding ways to be thankful, the more blessings came pouring in. More reasons to be thankful started showing up and I began to enjoy life more.

Though I’m a bit late again, here’s my top 10:
  1. My son’s 2nd Birthday!
  2. My daughter Helenia for making it top 8 this quarter when last quarter she’s top 10
  3. My eldest daughter Mikaela for learning how to cook and for waking up early everyday
  4. Smart for giving me free gold ticket for the Black Eyed Peas concert,
  5. Free overnight accommodation at Traders Hotel
  6. A bundle of chocolates from Mrs. Guericke,
  7. My FB friends who helped me by liking the Snickers’ site, because of them I got 8 Snickers,
  8. Colgate for sending me freebies,
  9. For winning at Ramsign House Number Giveaway,
  10. Finishing my Helenia’s “Tomb Raider” trick or treat costume.

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

I’ve been busy with work yesterday that I never had a chance to make a Wednesday Happy Thoughts Post. I planned to make it when I got home but too bad I left my laptop in the office. But still nothing can stop me from counting my joys and forget all my troubles. I believe that life has a lot of happiness in store for me. But it doesn’t mean that everything in my life is perfect, it’s just that I’ve decided to look beyond life’s imperfections. Here’s what gave me happiness this past week:

1.       I finished painting the kid’s room pink, beautifully!
2.       I won Bubble White Board Magnets at Doozedad!
3.       Stanley’s sister Star gave me lots of gifts from Qatar plus cash! I love you star!
4.       Stanley took us to hear mass last Sunday, for the first time! Thank God!
5.       The chance of visiting La Union again
6.       Free lunches at my boss’ house
7.       Purple nail polish!
8.       The opportunity of having our own business, oh yeah!
9.       The thought of having my own car too soon!
10.   900gms of Appeton for my Tala!

I’m so blissful Thank God! To see how it all started, please click here.

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

Everyday, God is giving us a gift of 86,400 seconds. And everyday is an amazing day. For the air that we breathe, the tree that gives us shade, the bus driver that greeted us “good morning”, the sun the shines after the storm, the smiles of our kids. True, countless are the ways to give thanks and if the only prayer that you say this morning is “thank you”, for God, that is enough. So from this day on, I will stop worrying and start counting the things that God gave me to be happy. Here’s my first top ten.

  1. Stanley for being more of a real father to my kids and for being patient with me,
  2. My beautiful daughters,
  3. My son for calling me Mamee non-stop,
  4. My Uncle-slash-carpenter for making our new cabinets,
  5.  My brother for always rushing at my side seconds after I texted him,
  6. Our yaya, for being the best ever yaya in the world that I’m starting to call her Nanay,
  7. My sister for taking care of our dad when I’m out working,
  8.  My old maids Godmother and Auntie for always finding time to visit me and my kids,
  9.  My dad, for being there no matter what,
  10.  And lastly, I thank God that there’s “Me” to look after these people who I loved most.
