I'm really back! (And so does my PR!)

I have one reason to celebrate today. After being MIA for a week, I tried to check on my friends’ blogs for updates. Then when I came to view my blog, I found out that my PR0 is now PR1! Oh Yeah! Woooot Wooooot!

I was sad when my PR was zero but it just made me eager to work harder and not to stop till I get it back. Aside from the tips that I searched from the net, I had also received tips from Earthlingorgeous and Mommy Rubz, and they proved to be very useful and they will never let you down. Take it from the experts!

What I did to get my PR back? Let me share them to you:

Bloghopping- (according to urban dictionary) Following links from one blog to another, reading about the lives of people you have absolutely nothing to do with. You’re not just doing this to increase your page rank and your alexa traffic, but you’re also gaining friends.

Backlink (according to wikipedia) are incoming links to a website or web page. Also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links. Back links are used to connect and stay connected with blogger friends and are also used to meet new people as well.

Post regularly – by posting regularly, you are sharing your daily lives with the world. The more posts you made the more interested your readers will become. But don’t just post. Usually posting for the sake of posting will not give that much help but a good quality post every once or twice a week will do.

For sure there are many ways to get a high page rank. Page rank is important for those who wanted to earn through their blogs as some advertisers require a blog to have a PR3 or above to be their publisher. And whether we accept it or not, we blog because we wanted to earn money from it :)

MIA again!

I had been MIA for a week! My CTS kept me from making posts. I had to use my ring fingers on typing because they’re the least painful and I had to rest them every once in a while.(Scratching my back became difficult too). I also had to ask some of my friends to take over of my Farms in Facebook he he he. Aside from being “sakit daw ng mga bloggers and chatters”, CTS is also common in pregnancy. It’s even worse when you already had CTS and then you get pregnant. Ouch!

I’m so thankful that I had friends who lend me their “helping hands” when mine was beyond use : )

I’m also thankful for my blogger friends who find the time to drop by and gave sympathy. Thank you so much! I’ll get in touch to you guys very very soon.

Experiencing Job Burnout?

Your have a great knowledge about your work and your skills are still in one piece, yet you do not have the will to perform. You feel drained even in the first few hours of work. You feel empty, your motivation gets low and you do not wish to go to work the next day.

Burnout?

Burnout is the dissatisfaction that you feel when your motivation is gone. When motivation vanished, we burn out. I can also be called job depression.

Prone to Burnout?

Managers, supervisors, those that work under pressure, those that work with recurring and monotonous works, those that works involve dealing and serving people. In other words, everyone, any profession, can be a nominee for job burnout.

Warning Signs

When more often than usual you become hostile at people within your work premises, you feel tired even in the first few hours you’ve been working, you feel frustrated about your work, you are depressed, and you tend to avail sick leaves so often, then maybe you are experiencing job burnout. Other indications that go along with these symptoms are weakening job performance, interpersonal problems, absenteeism, and having a “So what/Why bother” attitude.

Causes

When you did all your best yet you still lack positive rewards like praises from you boss, salary increase, promotions, and acknowledgements, you tend to feel bad towards people around you. You feel you don’t have any valid suggestions and you don’t have any influence or any power at all. In short, you don’t believe in yourself anymore.

What Can You Do About It

Manage yourself properly as it can boost your personal power. If you think you can’t do it yourself, you can get help from self-management skills training offered by some groups or institutions. You can also acknowledge yourself for a great work done in case you earn nothing from an unresponsive work environment. There are so many things you can do to give rewards to yourself.

It came a time that you entered a situation and yet you’re not ready for it. This time you need to develop your skills and increase your capabilities. You need to learn more as it will boost your self-confidence to embark upon new challenges handed on to you.

You can also ask for support and advise from family and true friends as they can become you guide and holding area or even shock absorbers. When you have them, you can count on them to help you think things over and get things done. You can have someone to lean on and for sure they can really be of great help.

However, when you tried all of these and nothing happens, maybe the best solution I to change job. If you are unsatisfied with your current job, you are free to quit and look for another. But be aware that the next job that will come along can be even worst.

Autumnal Equinox Starts Now

Today, Sept. 23 at 11:19 p.m. (Philippine Standard Time), is the start of the autumnal equinox where the nights will be longer and the days shorter. This happens in the northern hemisphere including the Philippines. It can be seen from countries in the northern hemisphere that the sun will stay low in the sky thus making the days shorter. This is because the North Pole tilts away from the sun. Autumnal equinox occurs when the sun’s declination is zero degrees and there are 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night at all points on the Earth’s surface.

Starting tomorrow Sept. 24, 2009 until March 20, 2010, the sun will lie south of the celestial equator, indicating the coming of winter for the northern hemisphere and summer for the southern hemisphere. Autumnal Equinox marks the seasonal move from autumn to winter.

The term “equinox” is derived from the Latin word “aequus” which means equal, and “nox,” which means night.

Still Longing For A PageRank

One of the benefits of having a PageRank rank is the traffic that it is providing your site. Having a good PageRank means having an edge in the search engines result page. Having a good PR will contribute to the popularity of your blog thus an added edge too among advertisers of products that will require your services.

Now, it’s worrying me that my PageRank is still zero. I knew that in order to have a blog value and earn respect for my blog, I got to have a good PageRank. Well, I did have a PageRank 2 before, but it dropped to zero when I stopped making posts for a while. And when I came back, I’ve worked hard to gain my PR back, but still, it’s Zero. I really don’t know what’s wrong with me. I really need professional help.

The Hangover

"You spin my head right round, right round

When you go down, when you go down down..."

This is a part of the song "Right Round" by Florida that kept playing on my mind for 2 days. I got to knew this song from watching the movie "The Hangover" from a site that offers free online movie streaming. This movie is about a bachelor party made in Las Vegas by four friends, Phil-a school teacher, Stu-a dentist, Dough, and Alan (all the while I thought it's Alen ).

The movie starts on a desert, with bruised and beaten Phil talking on the phone with Dough's soon to be wife telling her that something bad happened. Then there's a flashback of the day before. Vegas by night, strippers, casino, and Cesar's Palace where the guys stayed and sneaked to the roof for a drinking session as a toast for Dough who is marrying Tracy, Alan's sister. They woke up the next morning only to find out that they lost Dough, and worst, they can't remember anything of what had happened. There's a stripper picking up her clothes, there's a baby in the closet, there was a chicken (which presence had never got explained till the end of the movie) , Stu is missing a tooth, Phil is wearing a hospital tag, Dough's bed mattress is skewered on a statue outside, some Asians are harassing them, the valet brought them a stolen police car instead of the vintage Merecedes, and there's a tiger in the bathroom.

Enough of movie spoilers :D. All I can say is that this movie is one of the many that had made me laugh hard. There are some stupid parts though but there are some really funny parts. I recommend guys to watch it and maybe I'll watch it again.

too busy to post

I've been very busy these past few days that I didn't have time to write a post. There's the company's Christmas Party, there's the Mizuno Run, there's the kids' school presentation that I need to check out every mananahi for the rush rush costumes, and above all there's the monthly Board Meeting and for the first time I'm not yet prepared for my reports. Oh boy..

Anyway, there's always Stanley to give some moral support (though what I really need is some ready hands to do the typing job). He send me this video which according to him is his current favorite.
